2004 Offering Project
Africa Gospel Church Baby Center - Soy Cow
The Africa Gospel Church (AGC) Baby Centre is a new ministry to the “little ones” of Kenya, East Africa. This ministry believes in the value of each child in the Kingdom of God. The Baby Centre will welcome orphaned and abandoned babies with the ultimate goal of seeing each one placed into a loving family.

With more than 900,000 Kenyan children left as orphans because of HIV/AIDS, the AGC longs to be a channel for Jesus to change lives; therefore, the mission is four-fold:
• To provide hope to each child through loving care
• To enhance family growth through adoption and education
• To stimulate church involvement through outreach opportunities
• To promote societal stability through reintegration of the child

For the 2004 Offering Project, the Asbury Community set a goal of $10,000 to purchase a “soy cow,” a machine to produce soy milk, which will be a constant source of nourishment for the babies at the Africa Gospel Church (AGC) Baby Centre.

-Update-

The Goal of $10,000 was more than double the largest offering collected during the week of the Great Commission Congress in years past.

As of February 1st, over $11,000 had been given to the Baby Centre! Praise the Lord!

The Great Commission Congress is a yearly missions emphasis week at Asbury College
